GEORGIA TOILET REBATE PROGRAM
Due to the current drought, many water utilities are giving away $50 to $100 rebates to replace old high water consumption toilets. Michael's Plumbing Service can help you to be a part of this and many other water saving strategies. The participating water companies are City of Atlanta Watershed Dept, Cherokee County Water and Sewer Authority, Clayton County Water Authority, Coweta County Water and Sewer Authority, City of Dallas, Fayette County Water System, Fulton County Dept. of Public Works, Gwinnett County Water Resources, City of Hapeville, Henry County Water and Sewer Authority and City of Roswell. If your water bill comes from one of these companies, you should check out the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District’s web site. While you are there, you can see a list of model numbers for the toilets that qualify.
Water conservation is a very important issue today in Georgia. Changing to low flush toilets is only one of the many ways you can help. How often do you find yourself running the faucet or shower waiting for hot water? With a circulating pump, you can have hot water instantly out of any fixture. You can also check for leaky faucets or running toilets. Each of these can waste up to 400 gallons a month. Saving water is everyone’s responsibility.
